During their research residency at iii, Ase Brunborg Lie is delving into the double-sided blade of digital media, focusing on electronic waste and its toxicological web versus its possibilities of world-building and creating connections between people. As part of the research, they will hold several workshops, including participants in their process.
The workshop, a blend of indoor and outdoor activities, takes place both inside iii’s performance space and on a boat on the canals. We’ll collectively improvise a short music piece using objects/instruments related to Lie’s research and continue our investigations and listening on the boat.
The workshop lasts about two hours and is open to everyone but is recommended for teens and adults. The boats are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. No prior knowledge of playing instruments is required. We encourage people from all backgrounds to join. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
